In today’s fast-paced world, our health and beauty routines often get pushed aside. Yet just 10–15 minutes of acupressure massage a day can improve circulation, support lymphatic drainage, and leave you feeling energized, radiant, and deeply well!

These techniques, rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, are simple, powerful, and easy to follow at home. By stimulating Acu-points on the head, face, and neck, you encourage blood flow, deliver nutrients to hair and skin, reduce tension, and support the body’s natural detox pathways.

This is more than a beauty ritual~ it’s a daily whole-body wellness practice!

Part 1: Head Acupressure for Hair Growth and Vitality

In TCM, the head is where the body’s Yang energy gathers. Massaging specific acupoints helps strengthen hair follicles, boost circulation, and ease tension. (Yang energy is body’s active, warming, and energizing force. It supports metabolism, circulation, and alertness, helping the body move, respond, and heal, like turning on your body’s natural ‘engine).

Try these points:

❀ Baihui (GV 20) — At the crown of the head, where the midline of the skull meets the line between the ears. Press gently with your fingertips and rotate for about three minutes. Practice once in the morning and once at night. Notice how your scalp feels lighter and more relaxed.

❀ Fengchi (GB20) — In the hollow at the base of the skull, on either side of the neck. Place both thumbs here, tilt your head back slightly, and press for two minutes. This helps improve circulation to the scalp and relieves stiffness.

❀ Jiaosun (SJ 20) — About two finger-widths above the top of the ear, near the hairline. Tap the area lightly with your knuckle around fifty times. A gentle tingling is the sign that circulation is waking up around the hair roots.

Pause here and try pressing Baihui now. Notice how even a minute of gentle pressure helps release tension at the top of your head.

Part 2: Facial Acupressure for a Healthy Glow

Facial acupressure smooths circulation, reduces lines, and refreshes the complexion. It works as a natural facial lift that brightens the eyes and softens stress lines.

Practice these points:

❀ Yintang (EX-HN 3) — Between the eyebrows. Rub slowly upward thirty times until the area feels warm. This helps soften forehead lines and also calms the mind.

❀ Yingxiang (LI 20) — Just outside the nostrils. Press ten times with your index finger, then rub outward toward the cheekbone. This clears nasal passages and supports smoother skin around the nose.

❀ Sibai (ST 2) — One centimeter directly below the pupil. Massage gently in small circles. This refreshes tired eyes and reduces dark circles.

❀ Taiyang (EX-HN 5) — At the temple, in the hollow between the outer eyebrow and the eye. Rub gently, then glide toward the ear. This relieves eye strain and also shapes the jawline naturally.

❀ Dicang (ST 4) — Next to the corner of the mouth. Massage upward with your index finger to lift the cheeks, ease fine lines, and brighten the smile.

As you read, try massaging Yintang between your eyebrows. Feel how quickly the tension in your forehead softens.

Part 3: Neck Massage and Lymphatic Drainage

The neck houses important lymph nodes, which act as detox pathways. Gentle stimulation here supports cleansing, reduces puffiness, and keeps the face and neck firm.

Explore these points:

❀ Tianrong (SI 17) — Behind the jaw angle, at the front edge of the sternocleidomastoid muscle. Press with your thumb for thirty seconds, then massage in circles for another thirty seconds. A light tingling that spreads means the lymph is moving.

❀ Yifeng (SJ 17) — Just behind the earlobe. Knead with gentle pressure for one to three minutes on each side. This supports lymph flow and eases jaw tightness.

For a simple lymphatic flow massage:

1. Add a touch of peppermint & frankincense essential oil to your preferred carrier oil and gently massage it onto the neck for a revitalizing experience.

2. Use your index fingers to stroke upward along the jawline to the ear, then down toward the collarbone.

3. Sweep downward from behind the ear to the armpit.

Repeat each step ten to fifteen times, two to three times weekly.

Go ahead and try one sweep now from the jawline down to the collarbone. Notice the gentle release that follows…!

A Ritual for Daily Balance

Use only moderate pressure, enough to feel a light tingling or release. Ten to fifteen minutes daily is enough to refresh the scalp, face, and neck. Pair the massage with slow, steady breathing to deepen its benefits.

With consistent practice, you will notice:

❀ Clearer, smoother skin

❀ Brighter, more lively eyes

❀ Fuller, healthier-looking hair

❀ A naturally defined facial contour

❀ Relief from stress and neck tension

❀ A lighter, more energized feeling overall

Wellness can truly be this simple. Try these acupressure steps today and let your daily routine become a source of calm, vitality, and beauty from the inside out!
